I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
